macOS · iPhone & Apple Watch coming Sitting is killing you.
Sedentarity kills 5 million people a year — more than smoking and alcohol combined. UnSit reminds you to move every hour, science-backed, 30 seconds at a time.

10 squats per hour.
Backed by Cambridge.
A 2023 study by Taylor et al. showed that interrupting prolonged sitting with 10 squats every hour reduces postprandial blood sugar spikes by 52% more than a single 30-minute walk.
The protocol takes 30 seconds. No gym. No equipment. Your kitchen counter is the only thing you need.

Questions.
Does it work on Windows or Linux?
Not yet. UnSit is built natively for the Apple ecosystem (macOS, iPhone, Apple Watch). A web companion or cross-platform version is not on the roadmap. We strongly recommend using your favorite OS.
Will the iPhone and Apple Watch apps cost extra?
No. UnSit ships as a Universal Purchase — one Premium subscription unlocks the app across all three platforms. Pay once on Mac, use everywhere.
Do I need a sit-stand desk to use it?
No. The sit-stand tracking is an optional Premium feature. The core loop — squats every hour, heart mascot, streak, science facts — works on any desk.
How does it know I actually did the squats?
It doesn't. UnSit runs on the honor system. You tell it what you did, with a slider for the squat count. The point is the habit, not surveillance. We're building a friend, not a tracker.
Does it track me? What data leaves my device?
Almost nothing. The app has zero analytics SDKs. iCloud sync (preferences, session records) is encrypted by Apple and only your devices can read it. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics — privacy-friendly with anonymized session hashing, no persistent tracking cookies. Read our Privacy Policy at https://unsit.me/privacy for details.
Is it really backed by science?
Yes. Every claim in the app links to a primary source — Lee et al. Lancet 2012, Diaz et al. Annals 2017, Dempsey et al. Diabetes Care 2016, Katzmarzyk & Lee BMJ 2012, Taylor et al. BJSM 2023, plus 60+ more in the in-app library. We never claim individual medical predictions; the figures are statistical averages.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — through Apple's standard refund flow. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find your UnSit purchase, and request a refund. Apple handles all billing decisions.
Will there be a B2B or company plan for teams?
Yes, on the roadmap. We see UnSit fitting naturally into employee wellness programs and HR benefits. If you're interested in a pilot, email support@unsit.me — we'll add you to the early-access list.
